The Day I Will Never Forget

My tears are still warm on my cheeks, and the memory of my dad crying for the first time still etched in my mind. I still remember that dog, who was taken away from me only minutes ago. It was for the best, but a small part of me questions that. When my dad told me to say goodbye to Homie, I was shocked and confused. This year has been tough on my Asthma, and today was the last straw. I never even imagined that Homie would be taken away from me, yet it happened anyway. I look at his pictures, and I burst into tears. I think of us playing on my bed and I burst into tears. I’m in a terrible nightmare, and I can’t escape it. I pray to god to free me from this jail. I want to be relieved of my despair. But nobody calls or helps me. This house feels empty now, without that cute little dog barking at the tiniest sound. I held him tight, but I had to let go. It was like letting go of somebody so important to yo and just letting him fall from a cliff. Sometimes I wonder if this was supposed to happen, like a morale of a story, but nothing comes to mind. I ask “Why did you take him away from me god?” I get no answer. I talk with mom on the phone, I try to think that tomorrow will be a better day. As I’m writing this, I have learned something important that I will never forget for the rest of my life: Keep those that you love close, you will never know if they will be gone tomorrow, or the next hour. If you are not equipped to deal with a loss of a loved one, just remember that there are other things to enjoy in life. Spending time with family, playing poker on family night. It’s never over. Don’t give up. You’ll look back and release what you had with whoever died and treasure them in your heart. They don’t longer exist anymore, so why not treasure it?

The Hospital

The Hospital A tale of drama, and action

A couple of days ago I got sick and had to go the the hospital. I had to spend the night 3 or 2 days over there! It wasn’t that bad. Food was okay and I got to play PS2 (The hospital had them) and pretty much lay down all day. But I did ride a wheelchair for the first time. I took lots of steroids and medicines then finally I got better. It cost a lot of money and now we’re hoping I don’t go back again. It costs like 2,000 or 3,000. Wish me luck!

A Day Without Electricity

As most of you know, the power went out on Tuesday night. Well for some of you, because some people still had electricity. I was sick, and I couldn’t use my breathing treatment so I had to use my Emergency puff. It wasn’t that bad, we have a gas stove so we used that to cook food and such. It was kind of fun because of my dad. He bought a board game called “The Settlers Of Catan”. It’s where you build cities and settlements and trade resources with other players. My mom won, but that’s because we ended the game because we had to go to the Rec Center so I could take my treatment. But when we got there, the power went back on so I went back to my house and took my treatment there. We were so happy. I was yelling and screaming. Then it was bedtime. By the way, it was so slippery I almost fell down. I mean, it was SLIPPERY.

My week just started to get better because my Asthma is bad again. I’m happy because I got 100% on my math test. So right now I have all a’s. I’m going to try and keep it up.

Drugs: What it Can Do and It’s Effects

Sometimes I wonder why do people do drugs. There really isn’t one answer. Don’t they know what it can do? Okay, let’s say you are in high school. You are invited to a party. You see your friends and everything’s good, then 30 minutes into the party your best friend brings out all sorts of drugs, some you haven’t even heard of. What’s the right decision. If you don’t do it, your ‘popularity’ might be over, your friends will think your a loser, the other choice is stay cool and popular. So, you have two choices: Be called a loser and have a good life, or mess up your life and be high. I don’t know about you but I would just be called a ‘loser’ and have a good future. If you choose the other choice when you’re a adult, you look at yourself, and you think, “I could’ve done the right thing” and you have a horrible feeling but it’s too late. You can’t go back into time. Let’s look at what happens when you’re a adult and you made the RIGHT DECISION: You have a house kids, a wife, a family you can take care of. You have a good job, lot’s of friends. It’s good. All because you said, “No”. Say it aloud, “NO”. Was that hard. You just have to do that. Drugs mess up the brain. Stay safe.

The Music Program

Today we had our music program and I think it turned out great. My favorite thing we did was the sword dance. They aren’t real swords, just wooden ones. You do all kinds different things, like the one where you make a star out of the swords then hold it up by the bottom. I’m glad I could make it there.

Bulldog Ants

Hey guys. I was reading National Geographic and I found something really interesting. It’s an ant called the Bulldog ant. It really fascinated me. These ants hide in a blossom and ambushes honey bees. Bulldog ants also eat Carpenter ants. Here’s a picture:

I know, cool. Adult Bulldog ants don’t grow, so they lick the juice off of the insects they eat, or they eat a little bit of themselves.

If you want to get rid of Carpenter ants, you are out of luck if you want Bulldog ants. They are found in Austrailia, and Austrailia only. The picture below is from: theantroom.blogspot.com.

Hey guys, json2000 here. Today at school we went to my dermatoligist for skin treatment (“Is that how you spell it?”) I am having a great time, so I got 100 percent on my 50 states test with physical features. (“I know, amazing huh?”) So I’m proud of myself. So proud, I hung up my test on my pantry door. I put the picture of my dog because I thought this post needed more. I love school and I’m doing well.

Hello guys. I just thought I should write a post so here I am. My asthma has been okay, still coughing a little bit. Homie is getting so big! Anyway, I’ve been trying to get good grades so I can help my family when I’m older. My teacher is really nice and I get lots of homework. 5th grade is exhausting. But it doesn’t help me go to sleep easy because of my Excema. I have the 50 states test tomorrow (“I know, been there done that”) and I think I got it good. You also have to know some rivers and lakes, and I got that too so I’m going to do well on this test. I’m going to miss my school when I go to middle school.

Back To School

Three day weekend is over and it’s back to school. I had bad asthma so I had to stay at home for a while before I could go to school. But I’m getting better. I have two tests coming, they are both on the same day because I missed the first test because of my Asthma. I hate you asthma! Well that’s all I have for you so stay tuned.

What’s up world, I just got informed that summer isn’t as long as it used to be. It’s a good and bad thing. The good news is I’ll be going to school soon. The bad news… I’m not sure yet. But I know there’s some bad news. My Excema is getting bad, I’m putting a lot of lotion on it so it can heal. There is still some stuff to look forward to even though summer is almost over. Hey world, I just got a end of year report (“whatever you call it”) and I did very good thanks to all of my teachers I had. I miss everyone and can’t wait to be back. I am currently mad at J.K Rowling for not writing anymore books because she is my favorite author. Hey world, sorry it has been a long time I posted. I had a great summer, I just got back from my grandpa and grandma’s place. They live in Virginia so it’s a long drive from our place. I miss school a lot but it’s always good to relax. I’ve been going to the library a lot to study so I’m not wasting most of my time. There is a lot to look forward this summer like my brother’s and my dad’s birthday. I signed up for summer reading and it’s going very well. I’m not playing sports right now so no need to ask me. My brother’s getting older and more mean but I can cope with it.

Summer’s In, School’s Out

Well, school’s finally out and it’s great and all but I’m not yet used to my freedom. Sometimes I wake up thinking there’s going to be school but I remember after 5 minutes or so. My parents are busy most of the time, but mom sometimes come home early so we can go to the pool. I didn’t plan my summer but one thing I do know is that we’re probably going to the pool a lot. I miss school very much and I miss my friends but they usually come over and hangout. Hope you have a great summer.

The Last Day

Today was the last day of the school year and it was awesome. We watched the last two Digital Picture books with our buddies and went outside to play for a while. We said goodbye to them, and went back inside for music. At the end of the day, we watched a video about most of the events we had earlier in the school year. I missed two important and fun ones because of my asthma. But it felt good to see all of the stuff we did. Mr.K is the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!

School’s Almost Out!

This week has been very normal. School is almost out but I’m excited and sad because I love school. Mr. K is the best teacher I’ll ever have. We have to turn in missing assignments because if we are still missing some assignments, we’ll have to do them while other students are participating in a really fun school event. Also, I plan on learning some stuff we might learn next year so I can have a head start.

The Forgotten Inventor

My dad told me to write about this inventor named Nikola Tesla. He wanted me to do so because most of his inventions were very important but most schools don’t talk about him. Even at my dad’s school nobody ever mentioned him.

Nikola Tesla was born on July 10, 1856 in Smiljan, Croatia

Nikola Tesla.

He invented the radio, electric motor, remote control machines, robots, fluorescent light, laser beam, wireless communications, wireless transmission of electrical energy, remote control, and robotics. His first invention was the Rotary Engine. It was powered by insects glued on a paper wheel. His interest in motors led him to visualize inventions in his mind. He didn’t need blueprints or anything! When he was a adult, he went to a Technical University.

One of the most interesting invention is the death ray. Nikola “Claimed” to the military he had a ray that would blow up 10,000 airplanes in the air. But the thing that’s really weird is that this website said the ray fired as a “Experiment”. The ray made a explosion that was made the biggest explosion in human history but no one was killed. I think that part is fake but the death ray existed. I just underlined the ed in existed. Nikola disassembled it for some reason. The reason he built the death ray was because he never liked war. He wanted to put a stop to it.

Nikola died January 7, 1943. When he died, the military took all of his papers about his inventions but eventually gave them back to his family members. Who knows, maybe the military rebuilt the death ray.

They say Nikola is crazy. Maybe, but he is very interesting. One thing I don’t understand that schools don’t talk about him even though he was United States Citizen and worked with Thomas Edison.

A Weird Weekend

My weekend was weird because me and mom had the house to ourselves because alex and dad had to go to a soccer tournament. They stayed at a motel for a whole day and we saw them on Sunday morning. When Alex and dad left, me and mom just relaxed and saw movies. We met them at a restaurant. So right now I’m just waiting for the day to be over so I can go to school.

Spring Break

I had a fun spring break. Sorry it took me so long to post this. We went to my grandpa’s motel. Grandma was there too. We were there for a while. But then mom took me shopping. We went to this store and got some food, and there was a food bar over there so we ate lunch over there. When we got home, I was real tired. I missed my brother and Homie. We went to Washington D.C. the next day. We went to my Uncle’s store at D.C. first. By the way, my Aunt came with us too. My uncle dropped us of near the Lincoln Memorial. Because my other Uncle said he was going to be there. First I wanted to see the statue of Abraham Lincoln, and there he was. My uncle that wanted to meet us said there was too much traffic, so that we were going to meet him later. After walking around and visiting the memorials, we met with my Uncle that wanted to meet us in a restaurant. After we ate, we said goodbye to my uncle and headed home. The next day we headed home. And we nearly forgot it was easter.

A Sad Week

I went to the hospital again. Mom called 911 and some ambulances came. They picked us up and and dropped us off at the hospital. I took a few treatments and they said we could go home if we wanted to. My mom and I were confused because my Asthma was real bad. We didn’t exactly have a car and my Dad was at work until in the afternoon. So me and mom stayed there and did some shopping in the hospital. After a while, dad called and said he was on his way. The drive was long. After we got home, dad and mom started talking. They told me after a while that our new dog is causing my Asthma and that there was only one thing to do: Give her away. I said no way because I love her. But the principle was getting worried and strict and that we had no choice. Part of me knew she was right, I like our new dog. (“We named her ‘Girlie’ “) I said that I could take allergy shots but mom said no. We gave her away the first chance we got. I said goodbye to Girlie and she licked me in the face. Then she laid on her back so I could give her a belly rub. I started to cry a little, but I said goodbye. We gave her to my mom’s friend. I’m sure Girlie is having a great time.

Our New Dog

Mom has been saying a while ago that a new girl dog is coming. Well, it came today. She brought two dogs, and said we were only supposed to pick one and the other one was supposed to go to her friend. There was a girl dog,(“As I was saying.”)and a boy dog. Well, the boy dog went directly to a corner and just did nothing. The other dog, well she was pretty excited. Mom said that the girl dog was 7 or 8 years old. But just by looking at Homie and the girl dog you would think Homie was the old dog because he is SO lazy. Another thing I figured out is that the girl dog likes to play fetch. We had this bag of toys and I threw this toy, thingy,(“I really don’t know what you call it.”) and she brought it back to me. The boy dog was NOT my favorite, but I liked him a little bit. The negative things are that his tail was completely cut off, and the only thing he did was lay down. And if you even touched him, he would be shaking like mad.

So we are definitely choosing the girl dog.

A Day At The Hospital

Mom decided to take me to the hospital today because of my Asthma. We waited so long to go in a room. We had this thing and if it made noises or anything it was your turn to go into a room. Well, ours made some noises but we didn’t know where to go so we asked a woman who worked there. Well guess what? She said that the thing was wrong. And she gave us a new one. That really stunk because we waited like an hour and a half. So we had to wait even longer than that. Well our thing finally started making noises. Sow we followed a woman into a room. She checked my breathing and said I was okay. I was so shocked because I’m not okay. Well she left and another doctor came in. He introduced himself and I noticed his last name was “Driver”. He was my favorite doctor because he saw that I was reading Harry Potter, The Order Of The Phoenix. He said that it was his favorite one. I thought he was lying, but then he told me what his favorite part was. Well, after a while, he started asking questions, and said I really didn’t need to spend the night. Well that stunk too because me and mom thought we were going to spend the night, so we had everything brought to spend the night. I took three treatments at once, mom got me some lunch and told me about this boy she saw. She said this kid probably got beat up, because he was so badly bruised and was vomiting. And she met this lady that said that mom sounded and looked like her friend named “Jana”. The weird thing is that mom’s name is “Jan”.

After we ate some lunch, we headed back home after writing on some papers. (“Mom did the “Writing On papers part”)

So that was my day.

The Coconut Crab

Coconut Crabs

Coconut crabs are also called robber crab. That’s because it takes silverware and other shiny items. It is HUGE. Here’s a picture of one:

I know. It’s eyes are scary. Well, as you cam see, they are huge.

Coconut Crabs are called Coconut crabs because they can crack open coconuts with their pincers. Some pincers are like a foot long.

Coconut crabs are related to Hermit crabs. But not that much. Coconut Crabs are probably the biggest crabs ever. Some are twice as big as this one.

Coconut crabs can be found in Vamizi island. There are lots of them there. The coolest things about coconut crabs are that scientists think Amelia Earheart was killed by one. I have proof. Click Here.

Crazy, huh? My dad says the crash killed Amelia Earheart but she was eaten by one. I kinda agree with him.

Visiting The Eye Doctor

Me and mom decided to go to our eye doctor to see if I need any glasses. I took a lot of tests. Most of them were pretty easy. But there is this one test that was really hard. It showed circles and you have to decide which ones are 3D or not. It gets harder every time. And at one point I had to start guessing. Well, I got 20 /20 vision. Which is pretty good. Alex my brother got 20/25 vision. Mom says I have her eyes and Alex has my dad’s eyes. It was pretty disappointing. I actually looked forward to getting glasses. But my eyes are too good. have a nice 3 day weekend!

Programming

My dad is teaching me how to program. I’m using Python. Python is a simple programming language. It is also free, which is the best part. Some people think programming is very hard. It is not. If you are interested in programming there is a book called “Hello Wold!” It is a book for beginner programmers. Here is an example of a very, very simple program:Type print”Hi” Then you should see this: Hi

See that? I told the computer to say Hi by typing print”Hi”. Easy, isn’t it?

Computers are very good at doing math. By that I mean addition, subtraction,division, and multiplication. To make it do one of these, type this print 5 + 3 and you should get 8. It doesn’t have to be 5 + 3 of course.If you mess up, it should say something like this: Syntax error or something. Pay attention to those.

Hopefully you’ll have a lot of fun using this tool:)

A Good Start On My Weekend

Today was okay. Went to school, had recess, almost needed to use my inhaler, had to use my inhaler at the end of the day, well, you get the idea. We are making glogs on glogster. The link is right here. We are making a advertisement on glogster for a book we’ve read this school year. I missed a day at school, so most people are ahead of me. As a matter of fact, some people are already finished.

Catching Up On Some Things

I stayed home on Friday because my asthma is pretty bad. I also went home at the end of the day yesterday. Anyway, I saw The Lightning Thief last week, so here’s a list of positives and negatives.

Positives:

1. On the ending, Percy uses his powers. (That’s all I can tell you)

2. The action parts were pretty good.

Now, here are the negatives:

1. The characters are like 16, and that messes everything up. You know what I’m talking if you read the book series.

2. Annabeth is lacking many things, like her Yankees cap that makes her invisible, she has black hair.

3. The movie cut out lots of things from the book series. No thrill ride of love or something, and they put Nashville in.

4. Most of the movie was trying to get the pearls that takes him to the underworld. In the book series, a water spirit gives him the pearls.

So yeah, I’m probably discouraging you to see the movie.

An Awesome Weekend So Far

We missed 2 days of school this weekend. That’s a good thing because we will have more time to study for our science test that was supposed to be on Tuesday. I finished the whole entire Percy Jackson and The Olympians series and right now I’m reading a book that’s called Tunnels. We have a 4 day weekend too. My parent’s say that they never missed so much school when they went to school. Anyway, I’m dying to see the Lightning Thief. (“It’s the first book of the Percy Jackson and the… you know what.”) It’s going to be in theaters Friday. The trailer looks awesome, which makes it harder to be patient. Me and my mom made snowmen days ago. They are melting.

A Bad Snowday

We went outside to play 2 days ago. At first we were sort of having fun, then we decided to throw snowballs. The snow wasn’t sticky enough so every time we tried to throw a snowball, the snow would just rush into our eyes. Then we shoveled the snow which was really difficult. We were hot in the middle of winter time. Anyway, I thought it would funny to publish this post. A Sort Of Happy January

Well this month has been okay. Homie got the coolest sweater that is supposed to be on a stuffed and animal. (“I know it sounds weird but the sweater was perfect for him.”) I have been studying forever for the Geography test coming up. Mom is hitting the jackpot on cooking. (“She improved a lot”) And today I realized how awesome my new laptop is.

P.S. My mom tried to test me for the geography assessment. She drew the state that the test is on, and all the states that border it. It didn’t look very good to tell you the truth. But it was okay. I think I will do good on the test. But we’ll see tomorrow.

My Very Own Laptop

Christmas Break

A Whole New Month

December is starting and we’re doing pretty different stuff. We are learning about division strategies. We also had a science test today. Hope I did a decent job! It is getting really cold. My dog Homie doesn’t want to go out anymore! Camden and Jacob also came over today. I had a great time. During recess, me and mom went to the book fair to get some stuff. Camden tagged along.
We are planing to go back to the book fair tomorrow early. So I won’t be late for school!

The Fun Is Over

Grandma and grandpa left Yesterday, I really miss them. Grandma left some food for us, but not that much. The reason why they had to go was because they had to work at their motel. We are going to stay home today, but that’s okay with me.

Thanksgiving Weekend

My grandma and grandpa came to visit today. They brought a ton of good food. For a second I thought they were going to live here. Dad picked up Alex from his friends house just after grandma and grandpa got here. Mom is still at work but she will come home soon. Grandma’s cooking right now. It smells soooooooo good.

Back Again

I’ve been sick for a week but now I’m back. It feels great to be back and everything. My Asthma was really bad and that was the reason why I am sick. I went to the hospital because of my Asthma. I missed a great party on Friday but that’s okay. Mr K uploaded some pictures on his blog. Check them out.

Sick Again

My asthma is acting up again. I missed a lot of school but I guess it’s okay. I probably will make it to school on Monday, I really have to catch up on the school work. I emailed Mr.K saying I need some school work emailed to me, so I didn’t do no school work.

Today, we put up the Christmas tree today, I didn’t do any work on it. I just watched mom set it up. ( I know I should have helped but I was sick. But I have to admit I was pretty cruel.)

A Great Start On My Weekend

It has been a good weekend so far. I mostly stayed at home. ( “But it felt good.”) Dad was home pretty much the whole time. And mom went to work today. But I’m really excited to go to school on Monday. I’m going to make a fourth section on the Long journey post when mom comes home.

Fun In The Computer Lab

Today at school, we went to the computer lab to do some work. We went on Wikipedia to get some pictures that represents you. We also copied and pasted some poems from our Wiki pages. (That was really fun because we got to play around with some words.) Camden ( A classmate) enjoyed it the most.
